We use thermocouple thermometers with two sensors. The sensors of such thermometers are very small, which is why they can also measure air temperature fluctuations. With the help of the buttons on the thermometer, it is possible to stop the reading of the thermometer from changing so that we can calmly write them down, select the measurement units used (Celsius and Fahrenheit degrees), see the minimum, maximum and average temperature that occurred during the measurement and the temperature difference between the two sensors. The " Type " button allows other sensors to be connected to the thermometer and should be set to K-type sensors.
It is necessary to connect the sensor in the right way.
Our kit has a capacitor soldered to the sensors. If you connect the sensor without this capacitor, the reading of the thermometer may be arbitrary in some experiments.
To measure the temperature, bring the tip of the sensor into contact with the body whose temperature you want to measure and take a reading.
Temperature measurement
A thermometer is used to measure the temperature. The thermometer measures the temperature of the body by bringing it into thermal contact with the examined body and waiting until the thermometer reading stabilizes (thermal equilibrium is reached).
