Placing the light filters over the slit system as shown requires dexterity. Since plastic tends to collect static electricity, this shouldn't be too much of a challenge though - the filters seem to stick to the paper.
Merging different colored beam bundles
When light beams of different colors are combined, light is produced, which corresponds to the light having the sum of the spectra of the light beams being combined. By adding all the colors, we get white light again.
