A shadow created by the light of several point light sources

Place an obstacle in the light of a light source consisting of several LED lamps. Examine the resulting shadow by covering one or more LED lamps. Answer the question.

If there are several light sources

The shadow created by the light of several small light sources is significantly more complex than the shadow created by the light of one small light source, because it is the sum of the highlights and shadows of individual small light sources.

A full shadow is created in the area where the light of any small light source does not reach.

A penumbra occurs in the area where the shadow of some (but not all) light sources reaches. If the light of more small light sources reaches a semi-shaded area, then there is more light and the shade is "brighter".

Instructions for conducting the experiment
What shadow do we see when we place a pin in the light of three or five small light sources? Explain. Try it.
